CrystalClear - Pool, Spa & Hot Tub Stabilised Chlorine Granules - 750g. Used for the disinfection of Pool, Spa & Hot Tub water. Kills Algae and removes bacteria, whilst also Sanitising & Oxidising the water to keep it clean & Safe. These granules are ideal to use for daily dosing of your Spa or Hot Tub Water & will actively produce free chlorine that will eliminate potentially harmful organisms and kill bacteria.

Have little impact on the water's pH levels. Contain a stabilising agent to prevent loss of chlorine through exposure to sunlight. Treatment : To increase Chlorine levels by 1ppm add 2g of granules per 1000 litres of water e. G 14g for 7000 litres of water. 1 heaped teaspoon holds approximately 7g.

Optimum levels of chlorine for Pools is between 1 and 3ppm (parts per million) and between 3 and 5ppm for spas and hot tubs. Ensure circulation pumps run for a minimum of 60 minutes after adding this product. Shock Dose : To treat water that is particularly green & having a high algae content it may be necessary to shock the water first with an initial dose up to 5 times higher (max 10ppm) than the standard treatment above, depending on the severity of green water. It is also recommended to scrub the sides and floor of the pool/spa with a long handled soft brush to remove any algae clinging to them and leave filtration running for at least 12hrs.

The majority of pool/spa water cleaning chemicals are designed to work best when the water's pH levels are between 7.0 and 7.6 if the pH of your water is above or below these levels it may affect the performance of the product. It is recommended that pools and spas should be shocked on a weekly/fortnightly basis. Always test the chlorine levels in your water before entering it and make sure they are in within the specified regions of 1ppm to 3ppm for pools and 3ppm and 5ppm for spas and hot tubs.

Cloudy water after Shock Dose: It is not unusual to see cloudy pool/spa water after shocking them with a higher dose of chlorine granules. This is the smaller particles of dead algae and other contaminants that have not been trapped by your filtration system.

To finalise the procedure and bring the sparkle back to your water it is recommended to use a natural clarifier that will bind the smaller particles together that will then be picked up by your filtration system. If water temperature is below this or you are in any doubt, pre-dissolve the required amount of granules in a clean plastic bucket or container. Do not exceed more than 100g per 10 litres of water. Pour the pre-mixed solution evenly across the water surface. Keep pumps running to aid mixing. Do not mix together with other chemicals.

Always wear suitable hand and face protection such as gloves, eye protection and a face mask. Mix contents outdoors or in a well ventilated area, ensure no granules or dust from the granules are blown back into your face.

WARNINGS : This container must not be used for or contaminated with other materials. Always add chemicals to water not vise-versa. Keep out of the reach of Children and locked away safely.
