Indoor heated 12m swimming pool and 6 person hot tub/spa shared between our 2 cottages. Pool can be booked to ensure private use for your party. This listing is for 3 night weekends or 4 night midweek breaks. Barnacre Green Cottage is private and secluded, 400 metres beyond the other two cottages up Barnacre Lane (our private farm road), and is perfect for couples and families and people with mobility difficulties. All on one level, it can sleep 6/8 in two family bedrooms (each with a double and single bed) plus the sofa bed in the living area.

But the cottage also holds particular appeal for those who want to make sure their holidays have as little impact on the environment as possible: the traditional green oak-frame and lime-panelled cottage's home-from-home atmosphere comes with minimal environmental impact. All the materials in the construction and fitting were selected for their low environmental and carbon impact, there is not a lick of paint anywhere (we use limewash), and Barnacre Green cottage is self-sufficient for all energy, water and waste water. In fact, the building of the cottage was filmed by the BBC in 2007 and featured on. It's Not Easy Being Green.

Quality accommodation sleeps up to 8. Private setting with its own private courtyard with hot tub. Indoor heated swimming pool shared between our 3 cottages but can be booked for private use. Two spacious vaulted ceiling family bedrooms each have double and single antique French oak beds Additional double sofa bed in the living room.

Cots and high chairs available. Well-behaved pets welcome by prior arrangement. (a small charge is payable).

All bed linen and towels provided at no extra cost. Welcoming tea, coffee, milk, and sugar. (often there are also little extras, such as our own free-range eggs when available).

Prices are inclusive (ie we do not add extras for electricity, bedding, towels etc). Starter pack of fuel provided for the woodburner.

Free wi-fi Laundry service All cottages have free use of our swimming pool, hot tub/jacuzzi and coarse fishing lake. (Fishing tackle is available for hire at a modest charge). Off road parking for 2 cars. Additional car parking is available onsite.

Welcoming tea, coffee, milk, and sugar ensure a good start to your holiday and often there are little extras such as our own free-range eggs when available. Available for week long or short breaks depending on availablity. Our prices are fully inclusive. We do not add extras for electricity, fuel, bedding, towels etc.
